Mrs. Ruby Nell Worthy Davis Swann, age 90, of Buchanan passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Mrs. Swann was born in Buchanan, Georgia, on November 20, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Alva Worthy and the late Ruby Perry Worthy. Mrs. Swann was retired from Cluett, Peabody in Buchanan.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Betty Jo and Larry Lanier of Tallapoosa, and Kathy Cash of Buchanan; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Gayle Davis of Anderson, SC; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Bonnell Bannister of Farmington, MO, and Valeria and Preston Leatherwood of Douglasville; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 27, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Alton Stamey officiating. Interment will follow in Edwards Cemetery in Buchanan with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Travis Lanier, Daniel Lanier, Blake Smith, D.J. McWhorter, Michael White, Buddy Umburger, Corey Davis and Chase Davis.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.
