Mr. William Carlos Wade, age 85, of Bremen, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019. He was born on February 28, 1934 in Birmingham, AL to the late William Franklin Wade and the late Mabel Strickland. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Swann and son Billy Wade.
Mr. Wade was a Veteran and served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He received two medals, National Defense Service Medal and the Occupational Medal.
Survivors include his wife Sandra Pollard Wade of Bremen, one daughter and son-in-law Zelda (David) Hammock of Bremen; step-daughters, Donna (Dwayne) Goodman of Buchanan, Belvia Sheard of Lithia Springs, JoAnn Holcombe of Bremen and Peggy (Frankie) Cates of Carrollton; step-sons, Danny (Jody) Pollard of Temple, Eric Pollard of Bremen and Pat White of Temple; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene (Charlotte) Wade of Oxford, Al and several other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted on November 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Reverend John Butler and Reverend Johnny Holcombe officiating. Interment will follow in Buchanan City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
