Sandra Calhoun

Mrs. Sandra Ann Holloman Calhoun, age 82 of Bremen, passed away peacefully at her home, Friday, May 28, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Carrollton, GA, on June 23, 1938,. to the late Clyde and Mabel Cash Holloman.  Sandra had a God-given talent for music.  She was a church musician playing the piano for over 50 years, first at the Bremen Church of God and then serving as pianist at Mount Holly Church of God.  She played by ear and could play any song that she had heard.  Sandra was also blessed with a beautiful soprano voice and joyfully sang praises to her Lord and Savior.  She began her work life at Hubbard's Slacks in Bremen, and then at the age of 50 went back to school to become a hair stylist and worked for many years making others beautiful.

Sandra leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 64 years, A.M. Calhoun; her children Kelland and Barbara Calhoun, and Cindy Calhoun Stroud, all of Bremen.  and her five precious grandchildren: Lynde and husband Kris Barger, Devin Stroud, Rhyan Calhoun, J.P. Calhoun, and Jon-Derek Stroud and his fiance' Kennedy..  Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Josiah, Hannah, Judah, Gideon, and Elijah Barger; and sisters, Sylvia Holloman Fincher of Bremen and Joan Gaddis May of Cartersville.

A celebration of Sandra Calhoun's life will be held Friday, June 4, 2021, at 11:00 AM from Mount Holly Church of God with Brother Jeff Maxwell and Brother Evett Guyton officiating with niece Stephanie Hadaway giving the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Mount Holly on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour.
