Rosemary Hastings, age 83 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born in Cuba, MO, on December 24, 1938. Rosemary is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Pomes, Sr., her brother, Charles Marcy, and her son-in-law, Eddie Perry.
Rosemary enjoyed being busy and for years worked two jobs. In retirement she found joy in gardening, flowers, sewing, reading, word puzzles, and watching westerns. But her passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Ann Perry of Buchanan; her son, Jack Pomes, Jr. of Buchanan; grandchildren, Devin & Tatyana Richardson, Shawn Pomes, and Nicole Pomes, her brothers Lawrence Stevenson of Brookhaven, MS; Ray Hobbs of St. Louis, MO; and Archie Rulo of Richmond, VA; and a sister, Dorothy Hoppel of MO. She is also survived by two precious great grandchildren Cameryn Richardson and Greysyn Richardson.
According to her wishes, Ms. Hastings will be cremated and her family is planning a memorial service in Mississippi at a later date.
