Mr. Roger Harry Knight, age 67 of Bremen, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Tanner Medical Center Carrollton from a brief illness. He was born Tuesday, June 21, 1955, in Roanoke, AL, to R.L. Knight and the late Ann Taylor Knight. He is preceded in death by his mother, son Jamie Lee Knight, and sister, Jane Baker. He was retired from the City of Carrollton Parks and Recreation Department. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty Summerville Knight of Bremen; sons and daughter-in-law, Gene (Lynn) Knight and Michael Knight both of Bremen; father, R.L. Knight of Bremen; sister, Vicki Knight of Biloxi, MS; brother, Randy (Lawana) Knight of Whitesburg; grandchildren, Dillon Knight, Lauren (Zachery) Vinson, Maris Knight all of Bremen and Christopher Robinson of New Mexico; 5 great grandchildren, and many other family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be Friday, December 30,2022 from 10am until funeral hour at the funeral home. Funeral service will be conducted Friday, December 30, 2022, at 2 p.m. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ricky Shadrix officiating and Randy Knight delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Villa Rica with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Randy Knight, Roger Baker, Zach Vinson, Braylen Craven, Dillon Knight and Joe Gay.
Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is serving the Knight family.
