Robert Daniel Cole

Mr. Robert Daniel Cole, age 73 of Buchanan, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, in  a local hospital.  He was born May 7, 1948, to the late Helen Gillard Cole and the late Jody Cole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robbie Cole, and brother, Pete Cole. Daniel was a 1967 graduate of Paulding County High School, and retired after thirty-two years of service with Lockheed Aircraft. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved farming, hunting, and fishing.  Daniel also loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sharon Weaver Cole of Buchanan; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Hank Thompson of Buchanan; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Amanda Cole of Milton, FL; sisters Edna (Marvin) Moss of Temple; Darcile (James) Austin of Dallas; and Mary (Brian) Beatty of Temple; brothers, Joel (JoAnn) Cole of Lineville, AL; James (Darlene) Cole of Temple; and Alfred Cole of Temple.  Also surviving are five grandchildren: Jessica and Matt Nelson, Emily and Chris Vaughn, Brett Cole, Ansley Cole, Zeke Cole, Aidan Cole, and Dexter Cole;  great-grandchildren: Carson Nelson, Colton Nelson, Theo Vaughn and one on the way, Weslynn Cole; and other family and friends..

Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Cole will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 6, 2022, from Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Merle Barron officiating and Jimmy Hunt delivering the eulogy.  Music will be provided by Michael Brown, Ansley Cole and Charles Weaver..  Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Russell Cole, Brett Cole, Zeke Cole, Joey Hunt, Matt Nelson, and Aidan Cole.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Fellowship Baptist Church.

The family will receive family and friends from Noon until 1:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church.  They request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Fellowship Baptist Church and mailed to 1330 Rockmart Road, Buchanan, GA  30113.
