Richard Charles Morris, age 67 of  Temple, passed away Friday morning, January 26, 2024.  Born in Thomaston, GA, on July 24, 1956, he was the son of the late Pete Morris and the late Betty Jean Parker Herndon.  In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by an infant daughter, and brothers, Michael Morris and Chuk Herndon.

Ricky owned and operated an ambulance service for many years in Waycross, GA, and continued his public service as a fireman and paramedic.  Not only did he relish in the adrenaline of driving an ambulance, but he also was a race car driver. Watching NASCAR and his beloved Georgia Bulldogs play football were two of his favorite pastimes. 

Survivors include his wife, Susan Davidson Morris of Temple; his children, Jennifer, Felicia, Kenneth, Nathan, Jamie, Dalton and Zachary; and his step-father, Jerry Herndon.  Also surviving are his sister, Carolyn Roberts; his brother, Steve Herndon; and a number of grandchildren.
