Rev. Ronald Cummings Obituary

Rev. Ronald Edward Cummings, age 81 of Douglasville, died peacefully at his residence Sunday, May 17, 2020. He was born on Monday, April 17, 1939 in Knoxville, TN to the late Caswel Jackson Cummings and the late Julia Elizabeth Claybough Cummings. Rev. Cummings was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving 1958-1961 and was a retired Baptist minister serving many local churches. He was a member of Dorsett Shoals Baptist Church in Douglasville, GA. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Russell Allen Cummings.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Stone Cummings of Douglasville; two sons, Randall T. Cummings of Rockford, TN and Richard A. (Teresa) Cummings of Austin, TX; one brother Joe (Carolyn) Cummings of Knoxville, TN; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

At his request Rev. Cummings was cremated and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan has charge of the cremation arrangements.
