Reba (Sanders) Schaus

Reba Sanders Schaus, age 81 of Bremen, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022.  She was born in Buchanan, GA, on November 29, 1940, to the late Joseph Jackson Matthew Sanders and the late Agnes Mae Gladden Sanders.  Reba is preceded in death by her husband, James Harry Schaus and a brother, Jerry Sanders.

Reba was a 1958 graduate of Bremen High School, and she continued her education in the 80's at Carroll Tech where she received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree.  She worked at Tanner Hospital, Carroll Nursing and Rehab, and was currently employed with Countryside Nursing and Rehab in Buchanan.  Reba loved the Lord and loved adventure, and that love took her to Honduras several times with her church doing missionary work.  One of her hobbies was gardening, especially growing vegetables and  squash was her favorite. Watching television was another pastime and she especially loved her soaps, "Young and the Restless" and "Days of Our Lives," as well as Atlanta Braves baseball and any programs involving wildlife.  Reba enjoyed the beach and traveling with Bremen Seniors and was so excited about their trip to Niagra Falls later this week.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Melissa and Alan Singleton of LaGrange and Paul & Deborah Schaus of Bremen; brother, Johnny & Carole Sanders of MS; sister Imogene Houston of AL; sister-in-;aw. Debbie Sanders of Carrollton; and her precious grandchildren: Joseph (Katie) Schaus, Nicole Schaus, Brooke (Jadey) Barnett, and Andrew (Haley) Hamilton. Also surviving are the apples of her eye, the great-grandchildren: Abigail, Landon, and Remi, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 11, 2022, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.  Following the visitation, Reba will be cremated.
