Pauline Agnes (Tyree) Parker

Pauline Agnes Parker, age 71 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  Born in War, West Virginia, on November 26, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Agnes Tyree.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters Louise West and Marilyn Tyree, and her brothers, Bill Tyree, Cecil Tyree, and Claude Tyree.

Pauline's passion was helping people and she exhibited that caring nature in her position as a hospital patient care assistant . Her kind, compassionate, and positive nature drew people to her and her family cherished their time with her.  As a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church, she enjoyed attending church services.  At home she loved watching her hummingbirds and taking care of her flowers.  Early in her life, she enjoyed listening to music, dancing and riding motorcycles 

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 23 years, James Parker of Buchanan; her sons, Charles Hill, III of Oregon and Brian (Lisa) Hill of Princeton, West Virginia; and daughters, Christina (Steven) Henry of Temple, Angela Maria Parker of Virginia, and Jamie Lee (Chris) Brooks of Virginia.  Also surviving are a sister, Brenda Hicks; a brother, Herbert Tyree; grandchildren, Adam Parker Henry, Christopher Alexander Parker, and Tyler Parker, as well as many other family members.

Funeral services for Pauline Parker will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Carroll officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
