Pauline Harriett (Adams) Abbott

Mrs. Pauline Harriett Adams Abbott, age 91 of Bremen, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 1, 2022.  She was born on April 16, 1931, in Damariscotta, Maine. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Spencer Adams and Katherine Rex Adams, and her birth mother, Margarita Wakefield.  Pauline is also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ronald Sanford Abbott; sons-in-law, Barre Simpson, Sr. and Charles L. Hicks, and a grandson, Daniel Conrad Simpson.  She worked many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and loved singing and playing the piano which she did for several years at her church, Harvest Baptist Church in New Harford, CT

She is survived by her children: Christine Simpson, Bremen; Darlene (James) Harrell, Bremen; Kathleen (Jacob) Shuyler, Annville, KY; Sanford Dean (Mytran) Abbott, Carlisle, PA; and Glenn (April) Abbott, New Hartford, CT.  She was blessed with many grandchildren who also survive: Cheri (Jose) Recio, Barre Simpson, Jr., Michael (Laura) Simpson, Rachael Dillon, Candace (Tony) Rose, Jarrad (Kimberly) Abbott, Edwin (Stacy) Miller, William Miller, Caitrin Abbott, Hannah Abbott, Heather Abbott, Jasmine Abbott, Olivia (Billy) Biggs, Zachariah Hicks, Jacob McGuire, Samuel Harrell, Matthew (Emily) Harrell, Michael (Tiffany) Shuyler, Sarah Shuyler, Nathaniel Shuyler, Nicholas Shuyler, Lillian (Evjen) Halverson, and Elise Shuyler.  Also surviving are great grandchildren: Stephen, Dakota, Brandon, and Nicholette Cummins; Jocelyn, Alexis, and Reina Recio; Barre, III, Daniel (Olivia), Breanna, and Alexander Simpson; Joshua, Bella, Madeline and Sophia Lewis; Kristen, Baylee, and Cruz Cortez; Jagger and Isaac Dillon; Samantha, Sydney, and Scarlett Rose; Jordyn Abbott; Mason Miller; Tristan and Zoey Quigley;  Auron Abbott, Ayden Griffith, Avalon Hicks, Jasper Benn-Harrell, Isaac Shuyler, Vivian Watts, Clayton Huey, Camilla Thompson, Ariyah Shuyler, Zanne Steeves, Brianna (Ayla) Laforge, Veronique (Jeremy) Martin, and Beau Seger.  Four precious great great-grandchildren survive: Penelope Cummins, Claude Cummins, Grayson Slate, and Serena Recio-Gonzalez.

The family will host a memorial service on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Arise Community Church, 4221 US Highway 78, Bremen, GA 30110 with Pastor Gary Harris officiating.

The family will host a Connecticut Memorial Service on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Harvest Baptist Church, New Hartford, CT.
