Mrs. Myra Patricia “Pat” Cox Bishop, age 71, of 95 McKibben Rd., Buchanan passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Mrs. Bishop was born in Polk County on January 5, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Jay Gartrell Cox and the late Myra Murdock Cox. Mrs. Bishop was a retired LPN and X-Ray Technician. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Cox.
Survivors include her husband, Horace H. Bishop of Buchanan; two daughters, Robin Addison of Rome and Jan Stegall of Buchanan; one son, Chris Bishop of Buchanan; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Keith and Judy Cox of Cedartown and Phillip Cox of Cedartown; two grandchildren, Casey and her husband Skip Shipp of Kennesaw and Ben Addison of Buchanan; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 13, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Brannon and Rev. Steve Fetkenhour officiating. Interment will follow in Felton Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Randy Addison, Ben Addison, Donnie Hilliard, Jason Cox, Brian Cox and Keith Weaver.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7:00 P.M.
until 10:00 P.M.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
