Moses Anthony Long

Mr. Moses Anthony Long, age 60 of Bremen, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, June 3, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  Andy, as he was known by his friends, was born on June 13, 1961 in Douglasville, GA,  to the late Moses James Long and Mildred Irene George Long.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Andrew James Long. 

Andy never met a stranger and loved to have a good time. His mission in life was to make everyone smile.  "Peace out" was his way of saying good-bye. Restoring classic cars was his occupation and passion.   

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Barbara "Bobbie" Knight Long, to whom he was married, May 27, 1989; his precious daughter Shelbie C. Long, both of Bremen; a son; sisters, Laura (Andy) McClung of Hiram; brother Bryan (Amy) Adair of Dallas; and two grandsons: Zachery Long and Nicholas Long

Funeral services for Moses Anthony Long will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 12, 2022, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.  His family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour at the funeral home. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Bryan Adair, Matthew Caviness, Bobby Caviness, James Caviness, Mark Fallet, Tony Smith, Joshua Stephens, and Jeffrey Sweet,  Interment will follow in the Corinth Baptist Cemetery.
