Mildred (Dollar) Horton
Obituary
Mildred Dollar Horton, age 82 of Mt. Zion, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, in a local hospital. Born on July 19, 1941, she was the daughter of the late James and Dana Dollar.
Mildred, living in the Mt. Zion area all her life, worked for many years as a seamstress at Hubbard's and Fashion Star. She enjoyed sewing and made her daughter's nursing uniforms for years. After retiring from the clothing industry, she continued to work as a caregiver. Mildred enjoyed reading and watching TV. She also loved animals, especially her dogs.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Horton of Mt. Zion; her son, Dennis Horton of Jasper; her two grandchildren Corey and Kyle Horton; one great-grandchild, Gabbi Horton; and other family and friends.
In accordance with Mrs. Horton's wishes, she will be cremated. The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
