Micah Shannon Hurston, age 46 of Bremen, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born December 22, 1974, in Carrollton, GA. Shannon was an avid motorcyclist and loved being outdoors. He also enjoyed tinkering with and fixing things. He was a graduate of Calvary Christian School and was employed with Mega Granite. Shannon also served with the Haralson County Fire Department for over 10 years.
Shannon is survived by his two children, Kyle and his wife, Ally Hurston, and Courtney Hurston of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Aubree and Mason Kyle; and his mother and step-father, Mona and Eddie Garrett of Villa Rica; father and step-mother, Marion and Roxanne Hurston of Bremen; three brothers, Stacey and Laura Hurston, Blountsville, AL; Shawn and Tonya Hurston of Villa Rica; and Ben Hurston of Villa Rica. He is also survived by three very special nieces, Chrissy, Meshea, and Paige, and three very special nephews, Clay, Grant, and Josh.
Funeral services for Shannon Hurston will be conducted Sunday, August 22, 2021, at 3:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Roger Luke officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Highway 100 in Tallapoosa with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Stacey Hurston, Shawn Hurston, Ben Hurston, Clay Hurston, Grant Hurston Josh Ingram, and Ken Henderson. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home, and again on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour.
