Mattie Mae (McKibben) Griffis

Mattie Mae McKibben Griffis, age 87, of Buchanan, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021. She was born on September 15, 1933 in Polk County to the late John McKibben and the late Lillie Mae Davis McKibben. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Garland Griffis; son, Randall Griffis; daughter, Juanita Benefield; one great grandchild, Jarred Barger and brother, Melvin McKibben.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Ricky Weaver of Buchanan; sister, Martha Jo Lorrens of Rome; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchild and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 3:00 PM from Dugdown Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Brannon and Reverend Jason Hudgens officiating. Music will be rendered by Maci Brannon and Joan Benefield. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
