Martha "Marty" Jean Mauney Uhland, age 69 of Carrollton, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. She was born on March 27, 1951 in Rutherfordton, NC. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Angelia Denise Simms; two sisters, Melaine and Marlene and two brothers, Roger and Randy.

Marty worked for 34 years as security of Georgia Power at Plant Yates. She was loved by all who know her and she loved everyone.

Survivors include her son-in-law, Charlie Simms of KY; daughter, Abbegaile and Michael Lempert of FL; one sister, Melinda; five grandchildren, Marlee Rheanne Simms, Charles Dalton Bradley Simms, Austin Isaiah Butler, Alexander Scott Dean Sellers and Spencer Mykel Lempert; one great grandchild, Edward Oliver Sellers and several other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Marty's wishes she will be cremated.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan has charge of the cremation arrangements.
