Loretta Kathleen Scholl

Loretta Kathleen Scholl, age 77, of Bowdon, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. She was born on November 18, 1943, in Montclair, NJ, to the late Robert Scholl and the late Doris Pauline Charpentier Scholl. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by two bothers, Stash Scholl and Billy Scholl. 

Loretta blazed a trail for women in business by being the first woman building inspector in her town in New Jersey.  She also ran a construction company and was a realtor. 

She is survived by four daughters and their spouses, Barbara (Jeanine) Specht of Marietta, Joan Specht (Jeffrey) Krall of Acworth, Doris Pauline (James) Gonzalez of Beechwood, NJ, and Catherine C. Gorga of Bowdon; one son and his wife, Kenneth Arlan Albert (Stefanie) Specht of Dallas; four sisters, Doris Decicco of Maryland, Evelyn Leckie of Florida, Patricia Scholl of New Jersey and Peggy Weiland of New Jersey; two brothers, Richard Scholl of New Jersey and Robert Scholl of Florida; thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several other relatives and friends. 

In keeping with Ms. Scholl's wishes she was cremated. 

The family will host a private memorial at a later date. 

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
