Ms. Lois Cornwell Key, age 85 of Fayetteville, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Lois was born in Gwinnett County, GA, on March 22, 1936, to the late Fulton and Elar Bell Cornwell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Henry and Bobby Cornwell. She was a graduate of Clarkston High School and retired after working more than 20 years from King and Spalding Law Firm. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Tabernacle of Jonesboro. Lois enjoyed spending time with her family, making jewelry, working in her yard and shopping.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and John Murphy of Newnan; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Renee Key of Bremen; three sisters, Nancy (Joel) Smith of Riverdale, Cora Covington of Norcross and Sarah Lovin of Norcross; three grandchildren, Morgan (Alan) Alexander, Brandon (Tayllor) Murphy and Ethan Key; seven great grandchildren, Parker, Nova, Tripp, Riley, Cadee, Winnie and Hudson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services for Lois Key will be held at Parrott Funeral Home, 8355 Senoia Rd. Fairburn, GA 30213, on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM with Pastor Thomas Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park with the following serving as pallbearers, Brandon, Murphy, Ethan Key, Alan Alexander, Gene Covington, Troy Masson and Robbie DeLong.
The family will receive friends at Parrott Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
