Laura Davies, 43, died unexpectedly on March 20, 2021 at her home in Winston, Georgia after battling chronic health issues her entire adulthood. Laura was born February 3, 1978 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of Jon Marvin Davies and Nadine (Clay) Davies. She was a true Southern lady and enjoyed her childhood growing up in Texas and Georgia.
Laura enjoyed listening to country music, particularly Garth Brooks. She studied Art and English at Georgia State University. She was a talented writer and enjoyed posting witty jokes, interesting words of the day, and inspiring messages regularly on social media.
An amateur seamstress, Laura enjoyed sewing clothes and gifts for others and blessed the lives of many with her talents. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with unwavering faith that endured to the end. She served cheerfully and faithfully for many years as a Primary teacher to the children, who loved her.
Beloved aunt and sister, she will be greatly missed. Laura is survived by her five siblings and eight nieces and nephews: Jon; Mary Alice; Geoff; Jared and his wife Joanna and their children Evelyn, Penelope, and Jon; Sarah and her husband Shane and their children Jeron, Alina, Elsa, Micah and Tobias.
Memorial services will be held on March 28, 2021 at the LDS Chapel located at 3027 Chapel Hill Road, Douglasville, Georgia at 4:30 pm.
Cremation Services are being provided by Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
