Kenneth W. Johnson

Mr. Kenneth Johnson passed away at his home on November 12, 2018 after a long illness. He was born on August 20, 1941 and was a native of Camilla, GA. Mr. Johnson was valedictorian of his high school graduating class of 1959. He was a graduate of Georgia Southwestern University in Americus, GA and the University of Georgia in Athens, GA.

Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1965 to 1969 and served two tours of duty in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents Kathryn and Millard Johnson of Camilla, GA and his brothers Steve, Ronny and Bobby, also of Camilla.

Kenneth Johnson was survived by his wife of 52 years, Anne Williams Johnson, son Kurt Johnson (Gail) of Buchanan, daughter Anslea Yarbrough (Tommy) of Roopville, GA. He is survived by a grandson, Kent Johnson (Sheila) of Buchanan, GA; granddaughters Erica Weir (Brandon) of Buchanan, GA; Brianne Johnson of Dallas, GA; Meredith Massey (Ryan) of Franklin, GA; Marah Iverson (Devin) of Franklin, GA; Jessi Moore (Michael) of Temple, GA. He is survived by nine great-grandchildren: Grayson, Brayden, Laney, Everly, Lylah, Tripp, Nathan, Eliza and Garner.

Mr. Johnson is also survived by a brother, John Johnson (Dianne) of Camilla, GA; a sister, Marlene Grogan (Colby) of Sale City, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from Tallapoosa East Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with Dr. Mason Bush officiating.

Interment will follow in Tallapoosa East Baptist Church Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Ricky Johnson, Greg Johnson, John Bruce Johnson, John Johnson, Colby Grogan and Michael Taylor.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM
