Kathy Jo (Wood) Myrick

Mrs. Kathy Jo Wood Myrick, age 63 of Cedartown, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in a local hospital.  She was born in Cedartown, GA, on December 5, 1957, to the late Louise Mildred Cheatwood Wood and the late Robert Taylor Wood.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Jim Wood and a sister, Linda Houston. Kathy loved taking care of her family and listening to gospel music. She was a member of Dugdown Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, James Myrick of Cedartown; son and daughter-in-law, Corey and Yvonne Myrick of Cedartown; daughter, Stacey Maddox of Cedartown;  and a sister, Peggy Holder of Bremen.  Also surviving are her precious grandchildren, Faith Cheeks, Andrew Cheeks, Braci Myrick, Logan McWhorter, and Melissa Maddox.

Her family will host a celebration of Kathy's life on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 3:00 PM at New Canaan Baptist Church in Tallapoosa.  Officiating will be Rev. Butch Tant with music being provided by Jessie and Katie Williams and Sandra Tant.  The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the service hour.
