Kathleen "Kathy" Elizabeth Crocker

Kathleen Elizabeth Brown Crocker, age 68, of Tallapoosa, GA, went Home to be with our Lord on July 13, 2021.

Kathy was born on June 29, 1953, in Edinburg, Scotland to Air Force SSGT James Harvey Brown. After the death of her father when she was six months old, Kathy came to live in Fruithurst, AL, where she was raised by her grandparents, L.O.E. and Mamie Brown, and after losing them at a young age, by her aunt and uncle, Arrie and Hubert Furgerson. She was preceded in death by her father, SSGT Harvey Brown, grandparents L.O.E. and Mamie Brown, aunt and uncle Arrie and Hubert Furgerson, and former husband and close friend Daniel Crocker Jr.

Kathy graduated from Cleburne County High School and Carroll Technical Institute. She was employed at Stoffel Seals until she became disabled, after which she spent her time with her family and grandchildren, studying the Bible, reading, crocheting, singing, and a variety of other interests. She was a member of New Life Church in Tallapoosa, and also attended services at Faith Baptist Church in Tallapoosa. Kathy was a kind, loving, Godly woman who never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. With her quick wit and warm humor, she would always leave you with a smile.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Nanci Crocker of Tallapoosa, grandchildren Dalton Sanders of Tallapoosa, Rache and Lindsay Crocker of Bremen, and great-grandson River Crocker, also of Bremen, stepson Christopher Crocker of Cleveland, TX, along with several cousins and a host of friends, including her best friend, Lola Addison.

The family will host a memorial service on Saturday July 31, 2021, at Tallapoosa First United Methodist Church, 191 Alewine Ave., Tallapoosa, GA 30176. Visitation 11:30 - 1:30 and service starts at 1:30 PM.
