Jimmy Waddle, age 65 of Bowdon, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, in a local hospital. Born in Cedartown on November 19, 1957, he was the son of the late Wilburn Waddle and the late Mary Ann Worthy Robinson. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by two brothers, William Ellis Waddle and Steven Brian Waddle.
Jimmy retired as a truck driver with Georgia-Alabama Logging Company. In his earlier years, he enjoyed camping and playing video games. In his retirement, Jimmy could be found watching TV or playing with his dogs.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 28 years, Belinda Dobbs Waddle of Bowdon; sons and daughters-in-law, James Eric Waddle of Anniston, Alabama, Phillip & Crystal Gordon of Douglasville, and Brady & Sarah Gordon of Honolulu, Hawaii; daughter and son-in-law, Alisha Shea Gordon & Asbel Caba of Orlando, Florida; sisters, Beth Waddle of Buchanan and Laura & Tim Cole of Tallapoosa; and brother, Eddie Earl & Kim Waddle of Forsyth. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Lisa Annabelle Gay, Tony Waddle, Tanner Gordon, Marshall Gordon, Mason Gordon, and Erin Lowe; a great-grandchild, James Gay, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Jimmy Waddle will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Josh Worthy officiating. Interment will follow in the Baptist Tabernacle Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Dennis Worthy, Jeff Worthy, Josh Worthy, Monk Thompson, Richie Grimshaw, and Tim Cole.
The family will receive friends at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel on Wednesday from Noon until the funeral hour.
