Jimmy Lynn Smith

Mr. Jimmy Lynn Smith, age 62 of Tallapoosa, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020. He was born on June 4, 1957 in Carrollton to the late J.L. Smith and Margaret Smith. Lynn is retired from the city of Rockmart as the water plant manager. He was a devoted husband, father and most important a Poppy. He was a graduate in the 1975 class of Haralson County High School.

Survivors include besides his mother, his wife, Mona Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Travis Chandler; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Amber Smith; one sister, Linda Garner; five grandchildren, Priscilla Ash, Leighton Ash, Jay Smith, Ally Smith, Carli Chandler and several other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Danny Mason officiating.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
