James Eidson Obituary

Mr. James Martin Eidson, age 70, of Buchanan passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020. He was born in Austell on Sunday, March 13, 1949. Mr. Eidson was the son of the late, James Robert Eidson and the late, Virginia (Cash) Eidson.

Mr. Eidson served in the United States Navy. Later in life he made a career working for the National Park Service. Mr. Eidson enjoyed playing computer games, fishing, listening to Frank Zappa music, watching movies and spending time with his pet cats and family.

Survivors include his wife, Karen (Stroud) Eidson of Buchanan; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Rafe Singer of Kennesaw, Rebecca Parson and Ken McCarron of Denver, Colorado and Emily and Thomas Rascoe of Winston; one son, Seth Parson of Douglasville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Karen Eidson of McDonough and Michael Eidson and Jodie Brown of Smyrna; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Richard and Donna Stroud of Douglasville and David and Jean Stroud of Naylor; one sister-in-law and her husband, Linda and Alan Sewell of Douglasville; six grandchildren, Spencer Rascoe, Parker Rascoe, Michael Parson, Sarah Parson, Owen Parson and Amelia Parson; one great-grandchild, Zaidyn Parson and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mr. Eidson’s wishes, he will be cremated.
