Imogene Omye (Rayburn) Whaley

Mrs. Imogene Omye (Rayburn) Whaley, age 73, of Carrollton passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018. She was born in Tyus, Georgia on Saturday, May 17, 1945. Mrs. Whaley was the daughter of the late Buford Rayburn and the late Dessie (Watson) Rayburn. Besides her parents, Mrs. Whaley is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Whaley; two brothers, Sammy Rayburn and Randall Rayburn; and three sisters, Shirley Roberts, Barbara Butler, and Ila Phillips.

Survivors include her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Thomas Whaley II of Carrollton and James and Nicole Whaley of Chatsworth; her daughter, Regina Pike of Carrollton; four brothers, Ricky Rayburn of Bremen, Steve Rayburn of Mount Zion, Ridley Rayburn of Douglasville and Donnie Rayburn of Carrollton; two sisters, Joyce Young of Heard County and Linda Entrekin of Carrollton; her grandchildren and their spouses, Eric Barfield, Derek Barfield, Zach Whaley, Brandon Whaley , Nathan Whaley and his fiancée, Darby Merrell, London Hancock, William Hancock III, and Victoria Selby and her husband, Ethan Selby; her great granddaughter, Lilly Whaley and a number of other relatives.

In accordance with Mrs. Whaley’s wishes, she will be cremated.

The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 4 P.M. from Kansas Baptist Church on Highway 100, Bowdon, GA.
