Guy Blanchard

Mr. Guy Vernon Blanchard, III, age 52 of Bremen, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 20, 2021, surrounded by his family and friends.  He was born in West Palm Beach, FL, on July 6, 1969.  Guywire, as he was known in the industry, was employed as a Senior Field Engineer Rep with Coweta-Fayette EMC and had continued working over a year into his Glioblastoma diagnosis.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Guy and Nell Blanchard, Sr. of Evans, GA, and his maternal grandparents Ralph and Garnetta Hensley of Lewisburg, TN.

Left to cherish his memories are his companion, Cynnamen Wessels; his sons, Beau Blanchard, Kenedy Wessels, and Jack Wessels, all of Bremen; his mother and step-father, JoAnne and James Abney of Dallas, GA; his father and step-mother, Guy and Jackie Blanchard, Jr. of Powder Springs, GA; and one sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and Woody Burks of Douglasville, GA.  Also surviving are his nephews, Devin Burks and Chandler Burks.

In accordance with his wishes, Guy Blanchard will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held Thursday, August 26th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Muse Farms, 466 Bushmill Road, Bremen, Georgia. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Guy's name to stachestrong.org to help find a cure for Glioblastoma.
