Gladys (Brown) Weaver

Mrs. Gladys Brown Weaver, age 93 of Buchanan, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019. She was born on May 23, 1926 in Temple to the late Joseph “Joe” Franklin Brown and the late Jessie Hazelwood Brown. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by four sisters, Mammie Hurston, Vera Tillery, Avis Weaver and Olivia Daniel; four brothers, Carl Brown, William Brown, Edward Brown and J.F. Brown.

She is survived by her husband of 77 years Howard Weaver; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Ann Weaver (Jimmy) Hunt of Buchanan and Sharon W. (Daniel) Cole of Buchanan; one sister, Pauline Brown; one brother and sister-in-law, J.W. ( Hattie Bell) Brown of Buchanan; five grandchildren and their spouses, Joseph Chris (Tracie) Hunt, Dawn Hunt (Ricky) Henson, Tina Michelle (Hank) Thompson, Robert Howard Cole and Russell Brett (Amanda) Cole; eleven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 4:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church with Jimmy Hunt, Reverend Tyler Sweatt and Reverend Merle Barron officiating. Interment will follow in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers: Robbie Cole, Russell Cole, Brett Cole, Joseph Hunt, Joseph Hunt, Jr., Tyler Sweatt, Hank Thompson and Ricky Henson.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel.
