Gerald Vaughn McIntyre

Gerald Vaughn McIntyre, age 79 of Buchanan, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. He was born on December 24, 1940 to the late Hubert McIntyre and the late Louise Parker. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jenni Ayers; three brothers, Garner McIntyre, Carlton McIntyre and Billy Parker and one sister, Patsy Parker.

Survivors include his wife, Faye McIntyre of Buchanan; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Valerie McIntyre of Buchanan; two daughters and son-in-law, Kim Ayers of Buchanan and Cindy and Mark Bush of Buchanan; one brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Skeeter Parker; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM from Tallapoosa East Baptist Church with Dr. Mason Bush and Dr. Tomas Ward officiating. He will lie in state from 12 Noon until this service hour. Music will be rendered by Bernard Whitton and Tia Agan. Interment will Follow in Tallapoosa East Baptist Church Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Chad McIntyre, Jared Ayres, Jayson McIntyre, Doug Ayers, Zach Bush, Ryan McIntyre, Taylor Windom, Patrick Daniel, Charles Young and Josh Prichard.

The family will receive friends at Tallapoosa East Baptist Church on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
