Gale Wade Bowling, age 72 of Tallapoosa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. She was born in Haralson County on July 29, 1950, to the late James O'Neal Wade and the late Clara Faye Sanders Wade. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bowling, and a brother, Billy Wade. Gale enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and doing needlepoint...She was a homemaker who loved being in charge and taking care of her family.
Gale is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Tim Collins of Buchanan; her sons and daughter-in-law, Eddie Bowling of Tallapoosa; and Steve and April Bowling of Heard County; her six precious grandchildren: Tyler (Jennifer Pullman) Bowling, Brittany (Rashad Hindsman) Bowling, Allen (Nicole) Collins, Matt (Brianna Walker) Collins, Shannon (Anthony) Cagle, and Hannah (Caleb) Peardon; and one great-grandchild, Maverick Scott Echols. Also surviving are her brothers, Jimmy Wade of Centre, AL, Johnny Wade of Buchanan, and Bobby Wade of Mt. Zion, and other family members..
In accordance with her wishes, Gale will be cremated.
The family will host a memorial service for Gale Bowling on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at Steadman Baptist Church in Tallapoosa with Pastor Randy Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
