Elizabeth Lou (Boling) Powers

Elizabeth Lou Boling Powers, age 87 of Carrollton, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023, in a local hospital.  Born in Detroit, MI, on May 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Hattie Boling.  In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by a brother Larry Powers.

For more than 35 years, Elizabeth loved working and making the sandwiches for Koffee Kart in Carrollton.  In her spare time she could be found working in her yard tending to her flowers or sewing.  In year's past she was a big supporter of her sons' band, and she enjoyed listening to and dancing to their country music.  Elizabeth dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Steve Noles of Graham, AL; her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Allen and Deena Powers of Carrollton; her grandchildren, Stephanie Powers, April Powers, Chastity Powers, Sage Leon Johnson, and Jason Wayne Hardigree; several great-grandchildren and other relatives.

In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Boling will be cremated.  The family will plan a service at a later date.
