Elijah "Eli" Beau Thompson, age 31 of Buchanan, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022. He was born in Carrollton, GA, on November 12, 1990, to Cindy Shirley Wills and the late Jerry Thompson. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandparents: Margie Shirley, Roger Shirley, Agnes Thompson and Jack Thompson.
Eli was a 2009 graduate of Haralson County High School, where he was a part of the competitive cheerleading team and played football for one year. After graduating, he apprenticed as an electrician and worked with R & R Electrical Contractors. Being an avid outdoorsman, Eli loved to fish. Music was another one of his passions and he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. Eli also spent many fun hours playing video games. He attended Covenant Life Church in Bremen.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Kealei Thompson of Temple, and his son, Broly Thompson of Bremen; his parents, Cindy and Randy Wills of Buchanan; a sister, Jennifer & Mike Meade of Plano, Texas, and a brother, Josh Wills of Plano, Texas. Also surviving is his fiance', Rebekah Hall, as well as his uncle, aunts and other family and friends.
Funeral services for Eli Thompson will be conducted Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 4:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Pastor John Butler officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour.
