Edward Boyce

Edward Boyce, age 83 of Bremen, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  Born on September 17, 1939, he was the son of the late Roy Boyce and the late Lona Harden "Biggie" Boyce.  In addition to his parents, Edward is preceded in death by his grandson, Ben Garner, his great-granddaughter, Ralyx Price, and two sisters, Earlene Treadwell and Betty Boswell. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and was a member of the Sand Hill Lodge #350 F& AM.

Edward was a hard worker who retired after many years of driving an 18-wheeler. He was always busy, piddling with something or fixing something. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.  Traveling with his family and gambling were two of Edward's favorite pastimes.  However, his family was his passion, and he especially loved riding the grands and great-grands on his tractor and spending time with them at family gatherings. Edward always enjoyed laughing and having a good time.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 64 years, Shirley Boyce; his daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Gary Singleton and Lisa and Richie Grimshaw; his son, Donnie Boyce; his sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Jimmy Summerville; and his brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Bonnie Boyce, all of Bremen.  Also surviving are his precious grandchildren: Eric (Sarah) Dobson, Kyle (Tabitha) Garner, Ryan (Alison) Dobson, Whitney Vines, Ashton Boyce, Courtney (Andrew) Benjamin, Brooke Gibbs, and Morgan Grimshaw. and his great-grandchildren: Laina Vines, Zed Garner, Kase Garner, Ben Garner, Juanita Benjamin, Garner Benjamin, Cloee Crews, Ella Boyce, Adalynn Jay, Maddox Jay, Paxton Gibbs, Payne Gibbs, Hank Dobson, Jack Dobson, and Charlie Reese Dobson, as well as numerous other extended family members.

A celebration of the life for Edward Boyce will be conducted on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 3:00 :PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with eulogies given by the grandchildren and message by Gary Singleton.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour..
