Edith Marie (Daniel) Ezzell

Mrs. Edith Marie Ezzell, age 84 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Center, AL, on November 12, 1937, to the late W.L. Daniel and Ina Peace Comer.  In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ezzell and her sister, Jo Ann Hutcheson. She was a graduate of Buchanan High School.

Marie was a gentle soul who loved her family dearly.  She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, was always ready for an adventure and loved traveling.  Watching game shows and working word searches passed the time, as well as did talking on the phone and keeping up with family and neighbors.  Quilting and gardening kept her hands busy until her eyesight failed. Collecting tea pots was one of her hobbies.

Left to cherish her memories are her four children and their spouses: Sandra & Tony Robinson of Buchanan, Stan & Darlene Ezzell of Ashland, AL, Terri & David Elsberry of Temple, and Beth & Casey Frisby of Buchanan; and her sister, Sheila McDowell of Buchanan.  Also surviving are her grandchildren who called her Meme and Granny: Robin (Ivey) Ezzell, Cody (Dianna) Robinson, C.J. Frisby, and Suzanne Frisby; great grandchildren: Michael Elsberry, Macy Waters, Alexus Ezzell, and Sydney Ezzell, as well as her honorary grandchild, Riley Offenbacker and her precious fur baby, Winston.

A private family service will be conducted at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Marie Ezzell's name to the Carroll County Animal Shelter, 251 Automation Drive, Carrollton, GA  30117.
