Dorothy Virginia (Floyd) Stevens

Mrs. Dorothy Virginia Floyd Stevens, age 86, of Bremen, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020. She was born on May 28, 1933 in Haralson County to the late Andrew Jackson Floyd and the late Ida Corine Rutledge Floyd. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Joe Hoyt Stevens; one daughter, Debra Anderson and one brother, Douglas Jackson Floyd.

Mrs. Stevens was a retired seamstress from Arrow Shirt and Hubbard. She was also a secretary for MGM and Fedx. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bremen and was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

Survivors include her three daughters and four sons-in-law, Cynthia (Arthur) Moss of Lakeland, TN, Susan (James) Coffey of Sneedville, TN, JoAnne (David) Edwards of Bowdon and John Anderson of Colorado; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other friends and family.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery at 1:00 PM with Reverend Howard Mills and John Anderson officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
