Charles Kenneth Wynn, Sr, age 79 of Waco, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Dalton, GA, on September 10, 1943, he was the only son of the late Roland Wynn and the late Dorothy Fricks. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by a sister, Carolyn Thacker, and a son-in-law, Paul Wilson.
Charles was a tower worker, assembling and painting radio and TV towers. After his retirement from towers, he then finished his career as a metal building assembler. Being an avid outdoorsman, Charles enjoyed gardening, fishing, raising his chickens, and watching the birds. But his greatest enjoyment came from terrorizing the grandchildren by pulling his false eye out and teasing them. He loved his family, making people laugh, and teasing the grands.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 58 years, Brenda Wynn of Waco; his daughters, Angie (Ryan) Wynn of Waco; Teresa Wynn of Waco; Lisa (Scott) Knowles of Woodland, AL; and Michelle Wilson of Fellton; one son, Charles (Lynn) Wynn of Waco; and sisters, Nancy Shell of Rome and Deborah Sullins of Rome. He is also survived by thirty-seven precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Wynn will be cremated.
Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is honored to serve the cremation needs of the Wynn family.
