Charles Wayne Kirkland
Obituary
Charles Wayne Kirkland, age 77 of Bremen, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023, in a local hospital. Born in Cuthbert, GA, on February 18, 1946, he was the son of the late Arvis Kirkland and the late Elva Kirkland. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Kirkland who passed in 2005, and a brother, A.C. Kirkland.
Wayne was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening. He also enjoyed going to the flea market. The name he loved best was "Pop" and he dearly loved his grandchildren. Wayne loved the Lord, reading his Bible, and was a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Felton.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Monica and Rick Brooker of Tallapoosa, and Pam and Scottie Deering of Bremen; his sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Angel Bryan of Auburn, AL, and Bruce and Pam Kirkland of Buchanan; a sister, Nella Carter of Lawtey, FL; and a brother Calvin Kirkland of MacClenney, FL. Also surviving are his precious grandchildren, Scotty Brooker, Josh Brooker, Shelby Bryan, Caleb Bryan, Jayson Elhard, Madyson Elhard, Cody Kirkland, Shane Kirkland, and Casey Deering; and his great grandchildren, Keegan McAdams and Audrey Talley.
In accordance with his wishes, Wayne will be cremated and his family is planning a memorial service for a later date.
