Carolyn M. Albright, age 70 of Tallapoosa, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 21, 1953, in Tallapoosa, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Bill McGinnis and the late Edith White McGinnis. Carolyn was a graduate of Haralson County High School, attended college, and was retired from Sony Music.
A beautiful lady inside and out, Carolyn enjoyed working in her flower garden, shopping and crafting. Going to the beach was one of her favorite destinations, as well as getting her favorite drink at Starbucks. Carolyn loved her Sunday afternoon adventures of riding around and sightseeing. However, her absolute favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved. her.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 27 years, Jerry Albright; daughters: Vanessa Davis (Zeb) Coleman of Buchanan, Angie Albright Davis of Buchanan, and Christa (Bob) Good of Athens; a son, Tony (Mandi) Albright of Buchanan; and grandchildren: Dylan (Kayla) Davis of Tallapoosa, Ethan (Kenslie) Davis of Buchanan, Lucas Coleman of Buchanan, and Meghan and Mackenzie Good of Athens. Also surviving are her siblings, Elizabeth (Ray) Cox of South Carolina, Michael (Pam) McGinnis of Tallapoosa, and Melissa McGinnis, as well as other family and friends.
Funeral services for Carolyn Albright will be conducted Friday, April 5, 2024, at Noon from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Randy Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Muscadine Memory Gardens with Rev. Homer Wysner presiding. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Dylan Davis, Ethan Davis, Zeb Coleman, Louie Reganas, Jake Reganas, and Kevin Dollar with Lucas Coleman as Honorary Pallbearer.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral and also on Friday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
