Bobby Eugene Williams

Bobby Eugene Williams, age 86 passed away peacefully Saturday, March 25, 2023 at his home in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Mr. Williams was born July 10, 1936 in Buncombe, Georgia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce serving his country in Germany. After leaving service, Mr. Williams found his way back to Haralson County Georgia where he met his wife of 50 years, Geraldine “Gerri” (Munroe) Williams. Mr. Williams retired from Southwire last working at the Technology Center in Carrollton Georgia. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bremen.

Survivors include; his wife, Geraldine “Gerri” (Munroe) Williams of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; a son Billy Dean (Susie) Williams of Kennesaw, Georgia; one step-daughter Sabrina (King) Combs of Morristown, Tennessee; one step-son, Marion Mark (Lisa) King of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; nine grandchildren Jayce (Crista Lee) Buttram of Newburgh, Indiana, Joshua (Carlie) Williams of Perth, Scotland, Daniel (Lorraine) Williams of Kennesaw, Georgia, Renee Raymond of Benton, Tennessee, Cliff (Candace) Combs of Longwood, Florida, Joseph (Lauren) King of Franklin, Tennessee, Rachel Combs (Travis Moore) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Caley (Alan) Baggett of Birmingham, Alabama and Charity Combs of Morristown, Tennessee; and 13 great grandchildren with a 14 th due in the coming weeks.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his daughter, Renate Williams Raymond; a son-in- law, Eddie C. Combs; five brothers, Clifton, J. B., Frank, Doyle and Walter Williams; six sisters Pauline McClain, Geneva Mullins, Beatrice Witcher, Irene Witcher, Betty Norton and Kathleen Crews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 31, 2023 at First Baptist Church Bremen at 2:00 PM with Reverend Hunter Roe officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery adjacent to the Bremen City Cemetery. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be deacons of First Baptist Church. Stanley McCain’s Sunday School Class at First Baptist in Bremen to serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Friday at First Baptist Bremen from Noon until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to First Baptist Church in Bremen Georgia.
