Bobby Gene Ploof

Bobby Gene Ploof, age 81 of Buchanan, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. He was born in Haralson County on March 24, 1941, to the late Noah Ploof and the late Bertha Golden Ploof. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Rutledge and Evelyn Ploof. 

Bob was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing and farming.  Known as a jack-of-all trades, his passion was woodworking and building things.  Bob dearly loved his family.

Survivors include his wife Gail Ploof of Buchanan; three sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew and Ashley Ploof of Temple, Ralph and Crystal Willbanks of Cedartown and Clayton Willbanks of Cedartown; two daughters and son-in-law, Donna and Steve Stroup of Tallapoosa and Millissa Willbanks of Tallapoosa; two sisters, Pat Gammon of Newnan and Frances Kirk of Bremen; eight grandchildren, Samantha Stroup, Michael Stroup, Emilly Posey, Marshall Posey, Brooklyn Willbanks, Cailey Willbanks, Anzlie Willbanks and Novaleigh Willbanks; four great grandchildren, Miranda Stroup, Slade Stroup, Serenity Rosales and Fiona Lee and several other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 17, 2022, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Brother Brandon Brown officiating. Following the service Bobby will be cremated. 

The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
