Betty Shettlesworth Obituary

Betty Melinda Wills Shettlesworth, age 85, of Dallas, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020. She was born on March 10, 1935 in Dallas, GA to the late Amos Wills and the late Ethel Carruth Wills. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Loy J. Shettlesworth; one daughter, Rena Swank; four sisters, Joetta Smith, Vera Hunt, Kathleen McCarty and Jaynell King and one brother, LeRoy Wills.

Survivors include her son, Loy Joe Shettlesworth, III and Diann of FL; one brother, T.F. “Tab” Wills of Buchanan; five granddaughters; eight great grandchildren; special nieces, Tammy Wills of Buchanan and Joan Rogers of Marietta and numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Mrs. Shettlesworth's wishes she was cremated.

The family will host a private memorial service at a later date.

Hutchesons's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan has charge of the cremation arrangements.
