Barbara "Byrice" (White) Payton

Mrs. Barbara "Byrice" Payton of Buchanan passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at a local healthcare facility.  She was born in Buchanan on February 13, 1935, to the late Ulysses and Clora White.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Jurdy Payton.  

Mrs. Payton is survived by one daughter, Donna Bailey of LaGrange; three grandchildren, Tiffany and Johnny Nix of Tallapoosa;  Samuel and Karlie Bailey of Bremen; and Shaun Bailey of LaGrange; three great-grandchildren, Layla Nix, Jonathan Bailey, and Emma-Joe Bailey; niece, Diwanda Brown;  and great nephew, Jarrod Brown; and other relatives.

Graveside services for Mrs. Byrice Payton will be conducted Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 3:00 PM from Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery with Brother Homer Wysner officiating.
