Barbara Sue (Chadwick) Ray

Mrs. Barbara Sue Chadwick Ray, age 83, of Rockmart passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018.  Mrs. Chadwick was born in Forsyth County, Georgia, on August 10, 1934.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas Lucene Chadwick and the late Nettie Grace Roper Chadwick.  Mrs. Ray was a homemaker.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Cody Reeves; two sisters, Betty Mock and Eleen Huckaby; and one brother, T.L. Chadwick.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Carter Ray of Rockmart; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Annette Dobson of Felton, Glenn and Wendy Ray of Dallas, and Scott and Renee Ray of Buchanan; ten grandchildren, Dylan Ray, Levi Ray, Noah Ray, Caleb Ra, Jacob Ray, Lee Dobson, Dustin Reeves, Dallas Reeves, Autumn Brooks and Charity Prater; six great grandchildren, Bentley, Bailey, Hailey, Ty, Ethan, and Leeann; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kenny Teal officiating.  Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry.  Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens in Rome with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Dylan Ray, Levi Ray, Noah Ray, Caleb Ray and Jacob Ray.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
