Anna Lea Hendrick Chaffin, age 50, of Bremen passed away surrounded by her loving family at her “home” on Old Newnan Road in Carrollton on March 24, 2020. Anna was born on November 1, 1969 in Carrollton. She graduated from Haralson County High School in 1988. She attended Truett-McConnell College as well as West Georgia Technical College.
Anna (“Annie” to her mother) led an active and busy life. She handled the many challenges that life presented to her well. She was a happy, kind, courageous, caring and sharing person, and these traits were obvious during her almost 20 year career in law enforcement, which she loved. She served most recently as a deputy with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.
Anna was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Bethany Baptist Church, both of Tallapoosa.
Anna will be missed but not forgotten. As one of God’s angels she is now happy and at peace enjoying her well deserved eternal rest.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Patricia Bailey Stevenson and Dr. Ed Stevenson of Carrollton; her partner, Tina Hendrick of Bremen; her father Johnny Wadell Chaffin of Wedowee; daughters Elle Brittain of Rockmart, Madison Brittain of Bremen, Taylor and Hayley Howard of Bremen; sisters and their spouses, Amy (Candi) Chaffin of Tallapoosa, and Keri Stevenson (Ken Myers) of Albuquerque, NM; brothers and their spouses, Wes (Paige) Chaffin of Rome, Wade (Shannon) Chaffin of Tallapoosa, and Jon (Mariah) Stevenson of Manassas, VA; grandchildren Makena and Weston Howard of Bremen; paternal grandmother Hattie Gentry of Tallapoosa; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
