Agnes Geneva (Cook) Morris

Agnes Cook Morris, age 76 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 3, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Felton, GA, on March 28, 1946 to the late Jasper Cook and Dessie Hobbs Cook.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her only child, David Morris; sister, Alma Lepard; and brother, Freddie Cook.  Agnes retired as a supervisor at Arrow Shirt Company after more than 40 years.  She continued working at the Hosiery Mill in Villa Rica. 

Agnes was always full of energy, rising at 4:00 in the morning to cook breakfast for her family.  She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and taking care of her family. But her favorite thing she loved to do was spend time with her granddaughter and her great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 61 years, Billy Morris; granddaughter, Heather (Doug) Kirby of Temple; and great-grandchildren, Madison Kirby and Easton Kirby.  Also surviving is a sister, Nancy (Charles) Weaver of Buchanan, and many other  family members.

The family of Agnes Morris will receive friends on Monday evening, December 5, 2022,  from 6:;00 pm too 8:00 pm at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.

Funeral  Services for Agnes Morris will be conducted on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Roy Frashier officiating.  Interment will follow in  the Buchanan Church of God Cemetery.
