Yves Rene Hentzien, age 71 of Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2024, in a local nursing facility.  Born in Pierre-Benite, France on October 8, 1953, he was the son of the late Roger and Madeline Hentzien of France.  In addition to his parents, Yves is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sherry K. Wilson.

Yves was a beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He served honorably in the French Army and immigrated to the United States in 1975. Yves married his beloved wife, Sherry K. Wilson, in May of 1978.  Early in his career, he was a master welder in California.  Later, Yves worked as a field engineer for Bell & Howell for many years and received the Employee of the Year Award in 1992.

Yves is survived by his daughter, Solange Vale and her husband, Danny Vale, of Carrollton; his son, Roger Hentzien and his wife, Mila Hentzien, of Bowdon; his grandchildren: Jasmine, William, and Lillian; and his great-grandchildren: Mila and Leo.  He is also survived by his sister, Solange Hentzien of Canada, his brothers, Rene Hentzien and Patrice Hentzien, both of France, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Betty Wilson of Bowdon

In keeping with his wishes, Yves will be cremated.
