Mr. Woodly Walter Worthy, age 83, of 318 Pine St., Cedartown formerly of Tallapoosa passed away Thursday, October 4, 2007. Mr. Worthy was born in Haralson County on May 26, 1924. He was the son of the late Henry Worthy and the late Lula Jacobs Worthy. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a number of sisters and brothers. Survivors include his wife, Clora McAdams Worthy of Cedartown; one daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Leroy Hunt of Tallapoosa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ear and Jenny Worthy of Fruithurst, AL and Van and Kathy Worthy of Cedartown; seven grandchildren that he dearly loved; nine great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. from the Baptist Tabernacle Church with Rev. Buddy Gentry and Rev. Royce Campbell officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry and Janice Daniel. Interment will follow in the Baptist Tabernacle Church with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Charles Worthy, Donald Worthy, Wilma Worthy, Johnny Worthy, Edgar Worthy and Doyce Worthy. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
