Mrs. Winnie Mildred Lyle Worthy, of Buchanan age 95, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013. She was born in Haralson County Georgia on Wednesday, August 7, 1918. She is preceded in death by her husband William Fred Worthy; her parents Steven Eddie Lyle and Nannie Lou Cauthern Lyle; three children Hoyt Worthy, Louie Worthy and Maryanne Robinson and thirteen brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Worthy is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Venice and Richard Grimshaw of Bremen, two sons and daughters-in-law; Donald and Betty Worthy of Buchanan and W.L. and Melinda Worthy of Winston; fifteen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and seventeen great great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted from Baptist Tabernacle on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 1 P.M. with Reverend Joey Meeks, Reverend Charles Worthy and Reverend Buddy Gentry officiating and music provided by Reverend Buddy Gentry and Joyce Williams. Interment will follow in Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery with the following grandsons serving as pallbearers, Eddie Waddle, Jimmy Waddle, William Waddle, Richie Grimshaw, Carey Worthy, Dennis Worthy, Jeff Worthy and Mark Worthy.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 6 P.M. – 9 P.M.
