Mr. Winford Rozie Truitt, age 72, of 1712 Cashtown Rd., Bremen, Georgia, died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Southern Traditions Nursing and Rehab. Mr. Truitt was born on September 27, 1936 in Carroll County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. William Rozie and Elsie Threadgill Truitt. Mr. Truitt was retired from Hubbard Textiles and a veteran of the Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bremen. Survivors include his daughter, Nancy and Charles Johnson of Bremen; sister, Peggy and Charles Higgins of Lineville AL; two brothers, Wesley and Pat Truitt of Bremen, GA and Dan and Cora Truitt; two grandchildren, Katherine Johnson and Caroline Johnson both of Bremen; nephews, Andy Truitt, Ben Truitt and Edward Higgins; nieces, Alyssa Truitt, Anna Moore, Susan Robinson, Amy Kelley and Margaret Higgins. Funeral services were conducted Monday, April 13, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Herman Parker officiating. Music was rendered by Sue Ezell and Charles Johnson. Pallbearers serving were Andy Truitt, Ben Truitt, Charles Johnson, David Higgins, Dave Higgins and Dale Nix. Interment followed in the Center Point United Methodist Church Cemetery. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
